Youtube 2.0 Channels

Posted by Shiv on July 14th, 2009

I’m gonna keep this post small, simple, and to the point. Many of you have heard or seen testing of the new Youtube 2.0 channels. They look better than the older ones and keep things easy and simple. Below are some of the many cool new features Youtube has brought to their online hub.

Youtube 2.0 Channels

Talked About Features

1. New Design
Most obvious is the new and improved layout and style. It adds a modern design approach to all the channels and makes channels look more user friendly and clean then they have in the past.

2. Easier Video Viewing
You no longer have to switch between pages to view a users video list. Instead all videos are displayed in their very own frame with a scroll on the side.

3. Easier Editing
Admins can now edit their channel while viewing it, if they’re logged into their account.

4. Quick Video Info
Users can now view comments and other video features directly from your channel.

Thanks for posting about this, I would like to read more about this topic.

  2. They do not look better, why would I want everything cramped up next to eachother with videos, favourites and playlists shoved into the same small box? Why would I want to see 3 videos, 3 favourites and 1 playlist IF this channel doesnt have an ad on it, when on a norman channel I can see 9 vids, 9 favs and 3 playlists?

I have to agree with you on the fact that things are crammed together. But I still think this was a good first step for Youtube to go toward a modern layout.
