Dropbox – Keep Sync

June 26th, 2009    —    No Comments

After fishing projects, I find myself with a cluttered desktop. Usually I would be too tired to clean things up and properly store files. But now that I have found Dropbox, I able to dump all my files into one folder and not have to worry about anything else! My files are uploaded online so I don’t have to get a flash drive or external hard drive to use my files on another computer. I guess you can say Dropbox is a mini version of Mobile Me, except it works on Windows!

Microsoft Bing – Getting a Bingo!

Microsoft may be back in business with their new search engine Bing. Considered to be a “decision engine,” Bing helps to find the most relevant and accurate content toward your questions or search words. The results in Bing are cleanly and efficiently displayed with relative searches in the sidebar and quick content preview in hoover over buttons. After the failure of their Windows Live search engine, Bing may be the one to compete with Google and Yahoo.

Google Wave – Let me see you do the wave!

Twitter was great until people started using it for the wrong reasons. We see people slowly going away from Twitter and looking for a much more reliable and more private alternative that allows them a little more control. After taking a sneak peak at Google Wave, there is no questioning where people will be going in the near future.

Animoto – The Wow Factor

June 17th, 2009    —    3 Comments

We’ve all been to a convention or major company meeting where they have a slideshow presentation at the very end. Most of the time it’s a program running live with some random song playing in the back. I don’t know about you, but I really wish people would put a little more effort into their slideshows. This is just one of the many cases where Animoto.com and their great service can come in handy!

In just a few minutes Animoto can take a folder of images and turn it into a whole new universe. The process is so easy that even an 8 year old could do it. All you do is upload or link-up your images to your Animoto account, choose a background song from their 1,000s of songs or upload your own, and let the website do the rest…

Shutterfly Hacked

We all enjoy using Shutterfly because of its rich features that turns it into iPhoto for Windows. I can personally say pricing on Shutterfly isn’t the best. I would rather save my creation from Shutterfly and print it from my inexpensive photo printer. Why waste $15 on an 11 x 14?
